Electronic viewfinder or optical viewfinder?
Are you talking about photography electronic viewfinder or optical viewfinder?
As one of the two most distinguishable features distinguishing two systems, the electronic viewfinder gradually entered the public field of view because of the appearance of an unopposed camera. In general terms, the electronic viewfinder has the advantages of small footprint, rich functionality and still be able to use in low light environment, compared with the traditional optical viewfinder, but it also has the power consumption, the display is not as good as the optical viewfinder and other disadvantages. So for the professional photographer, whether they prefer the new style of electronic viewfinder or closest to the real optical viewfinder it?
2.5x ViewFinder SK-VF01N
Sevenoak SK-VF01 is a 2.5x viewfinder designed for most SLR cameras with 3” LCD screens. It features with 2.5x focusable magnification, an optical designed lens, an anti-fog protective cover, an eyecup preventing light leakage, a 40mm diameter diopter etc. It was connected to the camera via a Baseplate using 1/4 screw. For me, I'm not concerned about what technology viewfinder in the end, but more concerned about the quality of the problem. Having a good optical viewfinder is a blessing that gives you an immersive feel that is unbearable even by the best EVFs on the market today. An excellent optical viewfinder works well even in low light conditions without the sudden drop in sensitivity and resolving power. However, you can not get such a sensor on most cameras.
This should be based on the actual situation to decide. I chose to opt for an optical viewfinder camera because it was taking photos of the street because I think it would be more enjoyable to view and shoot with an optical viewfinder and I personally find it easier to compose images using the optical viewfinder. In contrast, electronic viewfinder more calm in terms of exposure, it is suitable for those demanding commercial photography.
